Chaos, Confusion and Doubt

Once upon a time, chaos, confusion and doubt would throw me into an absolute panic.

Well.. Maybe not an absolute panic, but would certainly give me pressure and stress.

I always wanted to be in control.

I always wanted to know where I was going.

I always wanted to know what I was doing.

I always needed to have that sense of control.

That gave me a lot of stress because in business there's lots of chaos.

There's lots of confusion.

There's always going to be doubt.

We do not know what is in the future.

We do not know what is around the corner.

We do not know what is going to happen.

So now when I think of Chaos, Confusion, and Doubt..

I know that these things are happening for us not to us.

I know that when we go into this chaos, that that's where growth comes from.

That's where our next levelling up comes from.

That's when we are starting to learn new things.

If you think about a baby learning to roll, learning, to crawl and learning to walk..

Learning to crawl specifically, they don't start to crawl or learn to crawl until they've got through that frustration of being stuck. Until they've got that frustration of staying still and not being able to get to their destination without requiring adult assistance which pushes them past their limits and forces them to learn the new skill to crawl.

That's how our brains are.

We go into chaos, confusion and doubt every time we're about to grow.

Every time we're about to have success.

I posted recently about my water skiing experience and the day before I actually stood up on water ski, I said to my husband..

"oh my goodness, how far away am I really?"

"Am I gonna be able to get this done this summer?"

My husband looked at me and he shook his head. He said, "Nope, you're a long way off."

The next day I dug deep and I got up. I had to push.. Push as hard as I could and hold through the frustration.

Chaos, confusion, and doubt.

I want you to get excited when they start.

I want you to go. "ooooooooh I'm about to learn something."

Switching your mindset from "this is a problem" to thinking "I'm about to learn something"

The shift in mindset creates a very different energy about it.

So Celebrate Chaos!

Celebrate Confusion!

Celebrate the Doubt!

Celebrate because that means you're about to learn something.
